MPICH2 is an implementation of the Message Passing Interface (MPI) specification. It is widely applied for parallel programming in the message passing paradigm, i.e. messages are passed between cooperative processes with separate address spaces.
This status presentation will explain and show solutions to problems such
as launching processes, the setup of shared-memory communication between
processes and general problems in porting POSIX applications. A small
demonstration of an MPI application executing on multiple processors will
be conducted in the end.
