What if I push the red button? - Performance models for popular applications

Performance models can help system administrators as well as end-users to answer
questions like "Is my application performing normally?" or "What if I upgrade
certain hard- or software components in my computer?". In this talk I am going to
present preliminary results obtained during my internship at Microsoft Research
Cambridge. I am going to introduce an architecture to generate those models and show
how we can automatically find answers to What-if-questions such as the ones above.
