Cooperative Scheduling in General Purpose Operating Systems
Nicola Manica
University of Trento (Italy)
General Purpose Operating Systems do not often synchronize the
allocation of the various resources. As a result, the system
responsiveness might be compromised and the execution of
applications might be less predictable. In this work strategies to
properly manage the resources of an operating system will be
investigated in order to allow General Purpose Operating Systems to
guarantee the requested Quality of Service for the executed tasks.
