Fail to compile Linux kernel on L4Linux

I have the experience that I can compile pretty much anything in
L4Linux, including Linux itself, with no problems. And that's my
standard configuration without any bells or whistles. Can you reproduce
your issue on other computer? Does anything change when you recompile
all the software?
