DirectFB

Hi,all
I've been obsessed by some questions about window system recently. It
is known that we can use dope API to create graphic user interface but
it seems insufficient to me, and therefore i am wondering whether or
not DirectFB can be used as a window system such that a widget toolkit
can provide abundant resource. As for a application in X window
system, does it need to spend much time to boot if X window system is
run on DROPS through nitpicker without running l4linux? any advice is
welcomed. thanks in advance.
