Interrupt problems causing crash of network driver and Kernel panic?

Hi Adam,

I did some more tests on the system using different settings in the
L4Linux and menu.lst configurations.

The following listings show the results in /var/log/syslog as far they
could be recorded for:

* Enabled roottask.config and L4Linux priority 0xA0 (some as all other
tasks) [1]
* Enabled roottask.config and L4Linux priority 0xE0 [1]
* Disabled roottask.config and L4Linux priority 0xA0 [2]
* Enabled roottask.config and L4Linux priority 0xA0 [2]

(tests done via SSH)
[1]: find /  asdf.asdf
[2]: while true; do echo $(date +%s); done

Both test sceneries have been done on an established SIP connection over
 both NICs. So we already produce some network traffic and interrupts.

Unfortunately it seems to be reproducible.

A few seconds after the tests have been started, the systems fail as
described below. I hope that will help you to get the necessary
information about the possible bug.
If there is something you need to know beside, please tell me and I will
run further tests.

Here are the syslog entries for the mentioned test cases:

Another test I made is to patch the omega0 package to print some log
entries about the IRQ number on Fiasco console each time 'irq_consume'
in l4/pkg/omega0/server/src/irq_threads.c is called. After starting
these tests, the output seems to stop with IRQ 10 (eth1 in our case). I
expect this to be the 'return' button signal because another test done
on qemu with direct input shows that the last interrupt listed in the
output was the keyboard's one.

I am also going to test this on linux-2.6.30-l4 and check if it will be
the same there...

Lots of information, but I hope that will help you.

Regards,
 Andreas
