Good that it works now but with qemu that cannot be the explanation. The
error says that those modules (io, fb-drv, mag) are simply missing, they
are also not listed in the BOOTFS section. Since you're using 'make
qemu' my guess is that your qemu is not at least at version 0.13.
Versions prior to 0.13 fail to load setups that load more than a couple
of modules. Please upgrade.
