Regarding device drivers such as network L4Linux behaves in the same way
as Linux, i.e. for example a web browser works the the same way as with
native Linux. Of course there are also some L4 specific drivers that
embedded L4Linux in an L4 system.

L4Linux is, besides being an operating system kernel in itself, a rather
normal (L4) application (the term virtual machine is also quite common
in this regard). As such multiple of them can be started concurrently as
any other program.
