Thank you for your help.

I enabled the CONFIG_DEVTMPFS and CONFIG_DEVTMPFS_MOUNT options as you suggested, as shown below in a piece from a .config file:

Then I get another error which I think is different from the mount of the filesystem.
But it is still difficult to say what might be wrong.

Could you please tell me what should I check to track down the source of the issue.

some devices in /dev. Have you enabled devtmpfs and the devtmps
automount option in L4Linux?
