L4linux is currently working with l4fb (Dope) or not?
Hello again, After spending a week trying all configs I could find, I'm (again) asking for help. I'm using an unmodified Opentc June snapshot and trying to get L4linux and dope working. Dope e running fine and L4linux is started, but it seems that L4linux cannot find the l4fb, and so the system boots and writes fine to the terminal, but not to dope screen... Is this config actually supported? Someone could give me a working config? This is my config files and output: Any help is much appreciated! Hello, I assume you're using the binary version of the OpenTC snapshot. If so, in the OpenTC snapshot the support for l4fb wasn't enabled to be used in L4Linux and so the L4Linux binaries don't support l4fb. Hi, Actually I'm building it from the source snapshot. Where do I enable the l4fb support under L4linux? Calling "make menuconfig" on build/linux doesn't show any l4fb options to build the stubs (under L4 configuration menu). I assume you're using the binary version of the OpenTC snapshot. If so, in the OpenTC snapshot the support for l4fb wasn't enabled to be used in L4Linux and so the L4Linux binaries don't support l4fb. You will have to enable it in the L4Linux configuration and recompile L4Linux.

You also need to enable general framebuffer support in Linux so that the l4fb option gets visible. I think that could be the problem. Also, in your example, you are missing the log server. Hi, Sorry, but it isn't :| I've made it all from the beginning: I've got "source-2007-06-30.tar.bz2" and "emscb-source-2007-06-30.tar.bz2" and extracted both to the same dir. Called "make configure-all" and "build/linux/make menuconfig" and there is no such option under the menu you refer to. I've even checkout new l4linux 2.6.22 and tried with that, again no such option...I've included a screen shot to prove I'm not going nuts ;) So, is this option deprecated and only present on older config files or I'm doing something wrong...? Hi, have you done what Adam suggested ? If I enable in the (L4)Linux menu: "Device Drivers" -> "Graphics support" -> "Support for frame buffer devices" -> "Console display driver support" -> "Framebuffer Console support" the additional "missing" l4fb option in the L4linux appears.
