I think it would be very interesting if the L4 Runtime Environment adopted a bytecode translator like the one implemented in Parrot VM<http://parrot.org/> or Nested VM <http://nestedvm.ibex.org/>. This feature would mean that L4 could support MANY LANGUAGES <http://trac.parrot.org/parrot/wiki/Languages> natively. So L4 would not only the ability to boot up a wide selection of operating systems, but also support for a wide selection of runtime environments. --Michael Brooks
