I found I was able to get things to work correctly if I compiled the Oskit part of the source individually, before running the global Makefile. Since that worked, I didn't delve into the mechanics of why.
Hm. The first thing I do is a "cd oskit10 && configure --prefix /home/drops && make", so I think I did the same like you... but with problems ;)
Simple commenting the sbrk-hack.c will not work (I tried it today).
