The "region overlap" problem in the L4/Fiasco hello example

Hi,everyone: When I boot the hello example in the L4/Fiasco. there is a "region overlap" in the booting information. I don't why it could be like this. Good evening all, I have just gotten the most recent L4 tree from CVS and did a complete UX rebuild starting from scratch. When comparing differences between your output and the output of my K7-GCC4 binary, I notice the following differences: 1. Your kernel is 2.6.13.2, while mine is the default 10.1 kernel of 2.6.16.13-4 2. After the "Loading Module..." messages and before "Bootstrapping...", mine shows : Copying Module 0x039be000-0x039e0c99 [hello] 3. Your running a Pentium-M (I'm running a K-7), so my TLBs and Caches are different. 4. My init code/data freed is 7 pages. 5. L4Env / DOPE Question

Is this the correct mailing list for raising L4Env and/or DOPE questions and comments? If not, please let me know where this should be posted. I am interested in possibly porting over OpenBinder to the L4Env / Dope environment. Was wondering if anyone has looked at this or had any thoughts or any interest? This will be my first port of something to the L4Env (perhaps I should start with something smaller), so any tips on porting (or links thereto) would be greatly appreciated. -- Thanks, MikeE

Binary Compatibility of compiled programs in different DROPS versions?

Hi, can you tell me if programs compiled for a specific DROPS version are runable on other DROPS versions as well? Or is it necessary to compile the program on each target machine? I do not talk about programs like dm_phys or rmgr but about user applications which use some DROPS RT-functions. Thanks, Arthur
