Hello l4-hackers community, Does anyone have experience with okl4's distribution? I have some questions on how to make gta01 platform simulate in Skyeye starting from okl4_release_1.5.2 with lcd support. I changed machines.py in platform/s3c2410/tools to contain: lcd: state=on, type=s3c2410x, mod=gtk I know Skyeye can simulate the LCD (verified it in arm's testsuite). does l4 linux now support smp?

Hello everyone, does anybody know that whether l4 linux now already support smp or not please? As far as I know, linux 2.6.x already supports smp. So I am wondering the the l4-linux 2.6 supports smp or not. if yes, it is the linux kernel distributes the threads across the cores or the ukernel does this? mysterious double fault

hi all, i have a mysterious double fault error while booting fiasco in qemu. the problem is that the same configuration works on a native 586 fiasco and in fiasco-ux without any problems. only with qemu a double fault is detected. i tested it with qemu 0.9.0 and qemu 0.9.1. with version 0.9.0 the boot process hangs, without any error messages. with qemu 0.9.1 fiasco says that a double fault was detected. in my configuration i boot two instances of l4linux. while the intialization of the l4linux kernel, fiasco produces the following output: DOUBLE FAULT! Hi, I made a svn up into l4linux-2.6, made an oldconfig and encountered some problems with lxevent and... cron (???). Problem with lxevent, was into rmgr_init_ping_call: _dice_msg_buffer was NULL. So I decided to purge all build directories (fiasco, build dir, install dir and l4linux). I edited a new configuration for l4linux but I encountered a problem : I cannot disable VGA_CONSOLE if I don't use EMBEDDED. So I decided to set it. Problem with dice when fpage are used with derivation

Hi, I don't have time to do more checking on L4Linux. Today, I use dice r238 of public repository of TUDOS. All my tasks are pure L4env ones. I try to process an idl which is quite long. how can a l4 task load l4linux?

hi all, i try to write a l4 task which can dynamically load / boot a l4linux. at the moment i using fiasco ux which parses a loader configuration file to boot l4linux. the question is, how can i do this at runtime, without such a configuration file. it seems so, that this can be done by using some internal l4 loader stuff. i looked at the l4 loader reference manual, but its a bit hard to reason how this can be realized. maybe a small example would be really nice :) can anyone help me? thanks, alex

But, however I am now sending to you the fixed one which all the include path is exactly same as the package name, aes. Sorry for that. | * the IDL file somehow needs to know about your aes_context type, so | either include it from a header or define it inside the IDL file - I did | so by uncommenting your stuff. Thank you, yes I have fixed it by defining the aes_context type inside the IDL file. Question about semaphores and threads

Hi, Sometimes, I get the following message : semaphore/lib/src/semaphore.c:167:__enqueue_thread(): Error : l4semahore: failed to get priority of thread 17.08: invalid argument (-3) Into sources, the comment says that thread has not been created by l4thread or is dead. But all threads are created by l4thread and no one is explicitly killed by another thread. Is there a mechanism which kills threads ? Is it possible a lock is requested as thread is not completely created ? Anybody has got an idea on what happens ? Regards Marc

Then I changed the last lines' sequence and my own menu.lst works. Maybe that's the problem, but I'm not very sure. Another thing puzzled me was that when I entered in the l4con and in the command line state, I wanted to quit from the l4con and input Q, then the messge is "input 'y' to quit", I input 'y', but it's not responding, when I input 'z', it says OK, what does this mean??

problem of load file in proxygon

Hello,everybody: These days I struggle with starting two l4linux on L4/Fiasco.And I have started a l4linux on hard disk and a proxygon window,then I want to load the other l4linux26.cfg file in proxygon to start the other l4linux,but it always indicated following error in proxygon <cmd>: l Load application:(nd) /tftpboot/ding/linux26-2nd run: command not found:(nd) /tftpboot/linux26-2nd I have configured the tftpserver on my system as the wiki guiding and through the testing it works well. What problem causing my error? Dose I need to configure the grub netwrok?I have tried,but in my grub there is not command like ifconfig. Any advice would give me much help.Thanks a lot! Best Regards! Trouble with l4rm_region_cache slab

Hi, I got an application which crashes into slab_alloc (slab.c:358). After some investigation, I've found the faulty slab : l4rm_region_cache. slabs_part != NULL, free_objs == NULL and num_free == 2. My first question is : do you agree this state should not happen ? If yes, I've got the following solutions : 1. there's a bug in slab library, 2. there's a bug in l4rm grow function, 3. synchro problem. It don't believe in 1 or 3. But, in fact, I don't understand l4rm grow mechanism. Another info : one of the analysed crash happened into l4thread_create. Regards Marc
